The urban component of peacebuilding calls on local and regional governments to work to ensure conflict does not derive into violence. Urban and territorial peacebuilding efforts need to place the focus on building equal access to the city, reducing inequalities, and developing safe environments for all to ensure cities and territories of peace."]
