This session will explore how Care-based approaches can reshape local economic development (LED), moving beyond growth-driven models to prioritize well-being, social cohesion, and ecological resilience. It will highlight alternative economic strategies, such as social and solidarity economies, cooperative movements, and inclusive governance, that support caring cities. Through dialogue and research-driven insights, participants will identify key policy shifts, collaborative opportunities, and advocacy messages to advance Care as a guiding principle for governance and economic planning. The session aims to foster transformative partnerships and bold narratives for a more just and sustainable future.

Cette session explorera la façon dont les approches fondées sur le soin (le care) peuvent remodeler le développement économique local, en dépassant les modèles axés sur la croissance pour donner la priorité au bien-être, à la cohésion sociale et à la résilience écologique. Elle mettra en lumière des stratégies économiques alternatives, telles que les économies sociales et solidaires, les mouvements coopératifs et la gouvernance inclusive, qui soutiennent les villes solidaires. Grâce au dialogue et à la recherche, les participant·e·s identifieront les principaux changements politiques, les opportunités de collaboration et les messages de plaidoyer pour faire du soin un principe directeur de la gouvernance et de la planification économique. La session vise à encourager les partenariats transformateurs et les récits audacieux pour un avenir plus juste et plus durable.
