Housing discrimination and spatial segregation: consultation with local and regional governments and the UN Special Rapporteur on adequate housing
Led by the UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights, with the UCLG Policy Councils
The aim of this consultation is to gather inputs from local and regional governments in preparation for the Rapporteur's next report to the UN General Assembly, which will focus on issues of discrimination in relation to the right to adequate housing, including spatial inequalities and segregation in urban, rural and urban-rural settings. The event will give follow-up to the previous work carried out by the Committee and UCLG in this context (see the landmark declaration “Cities for Adequate Housing (External link)”).
