Welcome to the session of the 2025 UCLG Executive Bureau in Seville, Spain!
The Executive Bureau gathers twice a year and is responsible for initiating proposals and carrying out the decisions of the World Council. It is in charge of the World Organization’s administrative and financial management, and prepares the ground for the content of the meetings of the World Council.
Details
Under the theme “Local and regional governments, engines of development”, the Executive Bureau will take place in the framework of the 6th World Forum of Local Economic Development (External link) (WFLED). The World Forum on Local Economic Development is part of an open and multi-stakeholder process to recognize and unlock the potential of local economic development to address global challenges and for the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The 2025 WFLED will represent a milestone for UCLG mobilization and an active engagement towards “Just transition, financing for development and territorial solutions”, which is the theme the 6th WFLED.
When registering to the Executive Bureau, participants have been asked to answer the following question: "In one word, what interests you most about the 2025 Executive Bureau?". Here are the answers:
